Making an Appointment
If you’d like to make an appointment, please call me for a free 10 minute consultation at 407-720-4139, or you can fill out the online inquiry form.
It may be helpful for you to know a bit about what happens in my office. I see therapy as a collaborative conversation. We will work together to find tools and methods to solve your problems and get you to a healthier place.
During the first visit, I will spend time getting your history, identifying current struggles, and understanding your goals for the future. By the end of this first session we should have a ‘game plan’ for moving forward. You are welcome to ask any questions you may have and/or share any concerns about starting therapy. It is my goal to make you as comfortable as possible.
In order to spend our time most efficiently, you will not spend any time in session completing paperwork. Prior to our first appointment, I will send you a link to my confidential patient portal where you will find a few documents about my practice, confidentiality in therapy, and forms where you can provide some information about yourself. Your first intake appointment will typically be 55 minutes. Subsequent sessions are generally 45 to 50 minutes.
The frequency of sessions and length of treatment will depend on the severity and persistence of your concerns. Some clients get what they need in two or three sessions, others come for much longer. I generally recommend weekly appointments at first and reassessing once we both feel the process is moving in the right direction.
